This is the first stop of our month long road trip along the East Coast of Australia.

We picked up the Hippie Camper in Brisbane and after only an hour and a half in we had pulled up in a car park and had a 4 hour kip!!!

On arrival in Byron Bay we parked up in the Arts Factory and now we are enjoying the luxury of a powered site in Suffolk Park.

Tomorrow we are lucky enough to have been given the chance to have a free scenic plane ride of Byron Bay and Nimbin.

Byron Bay’s reputation precedes it like no other place in Australia. A weekend turns into a week… before you know it, dreadlocks are a serious consideration.

Sydney Harbor Bridge

My arrival point in Australia was Sydney.

Jodie met me at the airport and we caught a train to Sydney Central.

Not going to lie, my first impressions were not good. It looked very much like London and the weather was not what I expected.

My first month was very up and down. I had made no plans before I arrived and knew very little about Australia itself. I felt very homesick. it rained everyday for almost two weeks.

I spent 3 nights in a hostel in the city and then moved to Bondi where I spent 6 weeks at Surf-side Backpackers.

I came for an adventure although I seemed to have landed myself in a hostel with people who had no get up and go to see or do anything other than drink Goon all day in the hostel.

I imagined paradise, camper vans, BBQ’s on the beach, playing the guitar around a camp fire. Maybe I was expecting too much.

After just 3 weeks, it was time for a change… I went solo

My adventure here is almost 5 months in and WOW, what a great part of the world I have chosen to explore.

My journey began on Saturday 19th November 2011. I am on a one year working holiday visa in Australia.

My inspiration to write a travel blog came from the most beautiful, kind and caring woman in my life…. my mother: Suzanne Taylor as she said she would like to read it. Without her, I would not be experiencing this today and I am so grateful for this opportunity. I love you mum xxx

If I could give this girl a high 10 right now, I would. What a legend.  Just a week ago I tweeted ‘Tulisa’s sex video, about as good as her concerts #nobodycomes’   While I thought it was funny, to her it would have hurt.  She is after all only human and I actually admire her for coming out on top and pissing on her ex boyfriends parade.  Much like when some jealous bitch from my home town tweeted a topless picture of me recently which she had got from an ex of mine. Her and her friends made fun of it and said how I would be hating life once I saw it and she retweeted all the nasty comments saying the response was amazing.  I waited a week and then tweeted my own topless picture which ended up in Zoo Magazine and Zoo Newsletter as Twittie of the week and the response has been REMARKABLE. Move over BITCH!!!!
